The School of Health Professions is comprised of Chiropractic, Nursing and Counselling disciplines, with students completing undergraduate and postgraduate courses at both the Perth (South Street) and Mandurah Campuses. Chiropractic is located at the Perth campus and is a 5-year double degree with an emphasis on science and evidence.
Chiropractic students hone their evidence-based practice skills at the Murdoch University Chiropractic Clinic (MUCC), which is both a teaching facility and professional treatment centre. This modern, custom designed clinic at the Perth Campus features 13 large, modern chiropractic treatment rooms, a digital Radiology Lab and Rehabilitation Centre. Clinical skills are also enhanced by placements in outreach clinics and underpinned by a strong emphasis on evidence based practice.
At Lecturer Level B the academic staff member will contribute to the teaching effort of the School through the preparation and delivery of lectures, tutorials, other types of teaching activities, and co-supervision of honours and postgraduate students and is expected to perform a range of administrative and service functions within the School and across the University. They are also expected to commence development of scholarly research outputs and professional activities relevant to the discipline. Please note, for this role it is essential to have at least 3 years recent clinical practice experience.

Skills and Experience
Recent practical experience within the Chiropractic field.
Comprehensive knowledge of orthopaedics, neurology, clinical biomechanics, palpation and differential diagnosis of physical disorders
Demonstrated experience in contemporary and relevant clinical or professional practices of the profession and evidence of Australian registration as a Chiropractor is essential, or qualifications that allow application for registration.
A PhD or research doctorate in an area relevant to appointment will be looked upon favourably.
