The Office of Curriculum and Academic Policy has established a new team representing the next step in high end Digital Learning, Interaction Design and Media Production/Development at Murdoch. The team is being established as a project team with plans to evolve the service over time into an ongoing capability.
The team will work alongside the Centre for University Teaching and Learning (CUTL) and has an exciting a challenging agenda for 2017 with project deliverables including the design of multiple educational modules for delivery on a range of internal and external digital platforms.
This pivotal role will lead strategic initiatives in digital learning design at the whole of institution level, specifically the project management of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) developments, priority curriculum projects and tactical quality improvement projects to enhance the digital learning experiences of Murdoch students. The Manager Digital Design leads a small team responsible for the provision of digital learning design, technical production and support for Murdoch University’s high quality, online learning programs.

Skills and Experience
Postgraduate qualification and extensive relevant leadership experience in a team or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Demonstrated capacity to establish, lead, manage and monitor strategic projects in digital learning, teaching and curriculum at a whole of university level.
Create, maintain and collate project information including milestones, scheduling, resources and financials for management and key stakeholders.
Excellent consultation, networking, negotiation and business development skills and the ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
A thorough understanding of current external and industry trends in educational technology, media and multimedia.
