The School of Psychology and Exercise Science encompasses two disciplines. The discipline of psychology has research strengths in social, developmental, cognitive neuroscience and psychological medicine, as well as thriving postgraduate programs (PhD, DPsych, Clinical, Professional and Industrial/Organisational).Psychology is keen to develop synergies with its sister discipline of Exercise Science (exercise physiology, biomechanics, rehabilitation and sports science).
We are looking for a talented academic who is keen to join our team within the School of Psychology and Exercise Science in the role of Associate Professor. Key to this role is a desire to train a new generation of clinical psychologists, as well as contribute to research that improves practice while delivering a service to our community. Although any area of clinical psychology will be considered, an interest and expertise in child psychology is especially welcome.
This position will be offered as either Teaching and Research Profile or as Clinical/Professional Practice profile.

Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will be familiar both with research in basic science, and how this can be translated (through training and intervention) into clinical practice.
A Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a Doctoral degree in an area relevant to appointment
Eligible to be a Psychology Board Australia approved supervisor for higher degree trainees.
Eligibility for Registration with AHPRA with specialist endorsement in clinical psychology.
Demonstrated experience in teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate level as well as the capacity to conduct independent research.
