Associate Lecturer | $65k-$88k plus 17% employer superannuation contributions
The School of Veterinary and Life Sciences (VLS) was formed in January 2013 from an amalgamation of the Schools of Veterinary and Biomedical Science, Biological Sciences and Biotechnology and Environmental Science. The combination of these individually strong areas has resulted in a new and enlarged School with major strengths in research and teaching across the whole of the life sciences.
The Postdoctoral Fellow will undertake research and support the management of projects, implementation of experimental treatments, collection and analysing data in Animal Production.
The role will also be expected to develop a scholarly research profile and participate in competitive grant funding, as well as contribute to the teaching efforts of the School.
Skills and Experience
The preferred candidate will have:
A PhD in Animal Science, preferably with expertise in ruminant nutrition and its impact on physiology in relation to reproduction.
Demonstrated experience in large animal nutrition experiments with training in animal ethics including animal care, health and management.
Demonstrated experience in teaching in the discipline or profession, or two or more years of postdoctoral or equivalent professional experience.
Demonstrated capacity to generate research funding (either independently or as part of a research team).
